IMGA World Masters Games
MEG project managed the successful bid and produced a detailed sports venue and city infrastructure assessment. This included a marketing plan, leverage and legacy plan, workforce plan, budget, risk profile and assessment of potential economic and legacy benefits, which determined the feasibility of hosting the event.
Event Outcome:
MEG fully project managed the successful bid to win the hosting rights. The 2017 IMGA World Masters Games was an outstanding success, with 28,500 amateur athletes from around the world, participating across 28 sports, which pumped $63 million into the economy and generated 302,509 guest nights.
